Distilled tall oil is produced from crude tall oil while vacuum distillation.
Distilled tall oil consists of unsaturated fatty acids: linoleic, linolenic, and some others; resin acids: abietic, dehydroabietylamine, palustria and others.
Resin acids are found in different quantities, account for 6-30%, are slightly different in various areas of application of the material.
Distilled tall oil also contains not more than 6% of unsaponifiable substances. The basis of unsaponifiable substances consists of esters, alcohols and hydrocarbons. Distilled tall oil supplied by RusTorgOil corresponds to Technical requirements 13-00281074-26-95.
Spheres of application of distilled tall oil are: paint and vanish industry; chemical industry, creating emulsifiers for synthetic rubber, for production of flotation reagents and other materials.
